Alex (Alexandria) Hoffman is an LA based costume designer and stylist for film, tv, commercials, theater, dance, and opera. During her 12 years in NYC she joined IATSE USA Local 829 as a Costume Designer and Costume Department Coordinator, coordinating for shows such as POWER and the first season of the reboot of First Wives Club. She is also the co-owner of the Brooklyn-based costume rental house, Grandma’s Closet Costume Rentals, which strives to support the greater NY area and the whole East Coast entertainment industry. Now back in LA, she is a member of CDG Local 892.
Her films have been seen internationally at festivals such as the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, the Pan African Film Festival, the Detroit Trinity International Film Festival, and the Australia Independent Film Festival. In 2022 she designed Dinosaur Discoveries: A Holographic Adventure, first-of-its kind co-production of the Houston Museum of Natural Science and BASE Xperiential “Holo Theater”. Her first feature film, Maya and Her Lover (Come Monday Productions/No Evil Entertainment), is currently streaming via Brown Sugar.
